In case you haven't heard the news... We are expecting our first child with Baby Heake set to make their debut in 2021 and could not be more excited!
If you have followed the blog for a while, you have probably read about my struggles over the years with Endometriosis and Fibroids which can make getting pregnant difficult. We had been trying on and off for years and it finally got to the point where I had given up and accepted that it may not be in the cards for us.
If I can be fully transparent, it was Chris who convinced me to even take the pregnancy test after a few days of me complaining about being tired and just not "feeling myself". I laughed it off and said "you don't think I would know if I was pregnant?" Welp, let's just say, the joke was 10000% on me cause I was indeed 4 weeks pregnant.
Of course, when we found out, a plethora of emotions filled our souls. We were nervous, anxious, excited, scared but most of all, grateful. This has been a long road and to see light at the end of the tunnel especially in a year that has been filled with chaos, confusion, and uncertainty. It has also been a testament to our faith and a reminder that God always shows up.
