Honey Garlic Chicken is one of my favorite dishes because it's really easy to make! This dish is best when the chicken has been marinated so I do recommend following this recipe 4-6 hours at a minimum before serving the dish to give the meat plenty of time to soak up the seasonings.

Step One: Wash your chicken in white vinegar to disinfect and kill any germs or bacteria. This will also deodorize your meat and cuts extra grease which will help when cooking. When done, pat dry.

Step Two: Marinade your chicken (this can be done to taste). We mix 2 tablespoons of salt, 2 tablespoons of pepper, 1 tablespoon of paprika, 1 tablespoon of garlic powder, and 1 tablespoon cumin into a small bowl with EVOO. Pour onto the washed chicken and massage into the chicken breasts.

Step Three: Let the chicken marinate in the refrigerator for 4-6 hours, at minimum. If you can let it sit for 24 hours, do it!

Step Four: Once the chicken has absorbed the seasoning, heat stove to a medium setting. Add in butter and minced garlic. Once the butter has melted, begin to honey and soy sauce. Stir the ingredients together to create a sauce.

Step Five: Begin to sear the chicken in the sauce. While the chicken sears, use a spoon to take some of the excess sauce and coat your chicken. This will allow the chicken to additional flavor from the soy, honey, and garlic to cook through the meat.

Once the chicken is fully cooked, allow the meat to rest for 3-5 minutes and serve. We enjoy this dish best with "one pan-roasted potatoes and vegetables". Be sure to share a picture of the final result on Instagram and tag @HangingwithTheHeakes!
