Although Dallas Proper hosted my visit, all opinions are my own.
There's a new kid on the block quickly making a name for themselves...
Newly renovated, Dallas Proper is one of Knox/Henderson's newest cocktail bars offering swanky bottle service paired and an ambiance honoring the 1940's + 50's with everything from retro influences to ritzy lounge vibes. Open six days a week (closed Tuesdays), their menu offers food and drinks curated by chef Jeffrey Kollinger who is also known for his work revamping the menu at The Statler's Fine China.
I had a chance to check it out for ourselves with a few other bloggers when they hosted us for a menu preview and easily understood how this could be the next go to spot for a girl's night, date night, or a night on the town. There is plenty of indoor/outdoor seating, service was top notch, and drinks were creative, fresh and damn good.
My favorite was the "Lady Bird" which has Dom Benedictine, an Angostura Soaked Sugar Cube and Champagne. We sampled the Basil Pesto Chicken Cauliflower Flatbread, Beef tenderloin skewer with apple-cider slaw and cheesecake bites with raspberry and mint coulis. Although their menu didn't have vegan options, they made sure to adjust some menu items (removed cheese, made a salad, etc.) for a few friends I was with in a prompt manner.
Overall, we had a great time and I am 100% confident I will be going back soon. Check out pictures of our dishes and the ambiance below and be sure to give Dallas Proper a visit soon.
