The Ultimate Fall Date Night List

I don't know how 2019 flew by so quick but there are less than two weeks until the start of Fall. Living in a big city, it can feel impossible to find a fun and unique date night that won't break the bank. Thankfully, we got you covered. Enjoy these fun and cheap date ideas that will be sure to leave you and your significant other smitten...

Addison's Oktoberfest

September 19 - September 22

The four-day festival is back and filled with beer, brats and more! Addison's Oktoberfest has been noted as one of the best in the nation with unique experiences to make a night filled with memories. Thursday and Sunday are free for all ages and Friday and Sunday require a $10 Single Day Ticket. Note: Once you are admitted, you will need to purchase food/drink tickets. Get more details here!

#funfact: Oktoberfest was Chris and I's first date and this was the first picture we took together.

Autumn at the Arboretum

September 21 - October 31st

Fourteen years strong, Autumn at the Arboretum is back and I may be slightly biased but I think this year's theme is the best one yet, “It’s The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown,”!

You will have the opportunity to snap selfies with Charlie Brown, Peppermint Patty, and Marcie behind the iconic brick wall, get lost with Pig Pen in the hay bale maze and see the Peanuts Gang at their schoolhouse along with their multi-gourd decorated house for their autumn carnival. Admission ranges from $10 to $15 and parking from $9 to $15 depending on when you choose to go (day or night, weekend or weekday, etc.). Get more information here.

State Fair of Texas

September 27 - October 20

24 days of consecutive fun at the fair is back! Be prepared to indulge in all things fried, ride the ferris wheel and learn all about Texas heritage. Get 2 Season Passes and $50 in food and ride vouchers for $115 here.

BONUS: This year State Fair of Texas is hosting it's first-ever Big Tex Barn Dance Social on Sept 19th! Round up all your friends and mingle with other Dallasites while y'all enjoy a couple of drinks and Fair snacks! Unlike any other barn dance, this is one Texas two-step you won't want to miss out on. Use code BARNDANCE14 for a discount on tickets. Learn more about this boot-scootin' good-time supporting the Big Tex Scholarship program here, BigTex.com/BarnDance

Pumpkin Nights at Howell Farms

October 10 - November 3

Get ready for a one of a kind family affair...

Pumpkin Nights is an interactive fall festival made of over 3,000 pumpkins premiering in five cities across the U.S. and of course, Dallas is one of them. Explore a half-mile long showcase of designs like a 40-foot long dragon, ghostly pirate ship, and undersea wonderland. While you stroll, snack on a variety of options from local food vendors. Tickets are $20 but receive a discounted rate of $17/ticket Monday - Thursday after 8 pm.
