Before the burgers start sizzling on the grill, the beers start flowing and the fireworks start popping, we wanted to take a moment to say thank you to our active duty military members, our veterans and their families.. To those who have served and come home safely to resume life stateside with their family, to those who have sacrificed their lives in battle for our freedoms and safety, and to those currently active duty selflessly giving time away from their loved ones, we thank you. We thank you for making the sacrifice many of us are not brave enough to make. We thank you for continuously holding your head high in times when respect is due but not given. We thank you for looking past those who may not understand and appreciate and continuing to serve for those of us who do. We thank you for being strong enough to spend months and sometimes years away from your families, coming home for what feels like a blink of an eye and returning on some occasions in less than 24 hours because "duty calls". We simply thank you, not just today but everyday. You continue to give us the freedom to live our lives in peace, comfort knowing we can sleep soundly because you're on watch preserving our Independence.
We can never say the two simple words enough, thank you, we salute you!
